Escape Velocity is proud to welcome Kayanna (“Kay”) Bennett to our Colorado team as Business Support Manager, beginning September 2025.
Kay brings a rare blend of analytical rigor, client-first service, and genuine warmth to her role. Known for her positivity and responsiveness, she creates an immediate sense of trust and ease. Clients can hear her cheerful smile even over the phone.
She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Natural Science Education from Colorado State University. Her professional background is uniquely diverse, spanning financial services, animal care, and education across preschool, secondary, and collegiate levels. Most recently, Kay served as a professor at Aspen University, teaching biology, genetics, and microbiology.
Kay’s return to work alongside Tyler Otto reflects a strong, proven partnership. During their previous time together, she served as his administrative assistant, where they developed a highly effective client service model grounded in responsiveness, organization, and care. That experience deepened her practical knowledge of financial services and solidified her passion for supporting families as they pursue meaningful financial goals.
In her role at Escape Velocity, Kay is a key point of contact for clients—ensuring a seamless, thoughtful experience while anticipating needs and resolving questions with precision and care.
Outside the office, Kay and her husband stay busy raising their two young sons and managing their ever-growing hobby farm in Colorado. When time allows, they enjoy traveling the world, especially destinations that offer opportunities for SCUBA diving and exploring marine life.
Kay is excited to serve Escape Velocity clients and is committed to delivering an exceptional service experience at every interaction.
